As quoted from the PlayStation blog on Tuesday (12/04/2011), Sony ComputerEntertainment America (SCEA) has finally announced the settlement ofa lawsuitsubmitted to the hacker named GeoHotz in the courts of San Francisco , California.
As part of the agreement, the Sony agreed to stop the demands on GeoHotz. Impact,the hacker was banned 'mengoprek' Sony products lifetime.
"Our motivation to bring this to the courts used to be to protect intellectual property rightsand consumer protection," said Riley Russell, General Counsel for SCEA.
While GeoHotz itself states that it is not intended ulahnya hijack. "There would be nointention for me to make the customers experience the problem, and makes piracyeasier. I'm glad this suit is over," he said with relief.
The court also ruled that Hotz was not involved in attacks on Internet service and Sony'ssite some time ago, carried out hackers Anonymous.
George Hotz, or commonly known as GeoHotz, a hacker who managed to break into the PS3 and IOS protection some time ago.
